Wellness Loud – a Podcast and Media Network is on the lookout for a talented and dedicated Audio Editor to join our team on a part-time, fully remote basis.
This role involves working closely with our CEO, Director of Operations, and production team, focusing primarily on the audio aspects of our podcasts. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the high-quality production of our podcast content, which is broadcast in English. Therefore, fluency in both speaking and writing English is essential. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a knack for solving problems creatively. We are seeking someone with exceptional listening skills, attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Applicable candidates must have a background in audio editing, podcast production, or related fields.
Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Editing and mixing podcast episodes to meet our standards of quality, including sound leveling, noise reduction, and adding music or sound effects.
Coordinating with our Podcast Production Schedules to ensure timely completion and delivery of episodes.
Managing audio files, including inputting, updating, and maintaining our databases and spreadsheets with podcast data and analytics.
Overseeing quality control by managing air check logs for commercials, sales, and promotional mentions within podcasts.
Conducting industry research to stay updated on the latest audio editing techniques and podcasting best practices, and preparing reports on findings.
Maintaining our digital organizational systems to ensure organized and efficient storage of audio files and related documents.
Collaborating with administrative staff and providing support to colleagues as needed to contribute to the team’s overall success.
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of audio production and editing.
Experience creating your own production or audio/podcast project
Audio editing experience on Pro-Tools or similar software
Work well in a remote team environment.
Commitment to excellent storytelling and thoughtfulness about what makes a good audio story.
Excellent communication and time management skills. Especially in a remote environment, it’s crucial that you’re able to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with your supervisor.
Attention to detail and strict adherence to the highest podcast standards and ethics.
Well-organized, energetic, independent and responsive to feedback and direction.
Strong spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
