About the Position

High Performance is growing its slate of shows and requires a full-time audio engineer and editor to take ownership of recording, mixing and editing audio output from our Central London studio.

Key Responsibilities:

Recording Audio for Podcasts: Ensure quality audio recordings from a range of different podcasts using a combination of close, wireless and overhead mics both in the studio and in the field

Mixing Audio: Outputting consistent and high-quality mixes from recordings both in the studio and in the field

Audio Editing: Building compelling audio shows

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Willingness to go beyond the role – brainstorming creative ideas, assisting with tasks and studio management on a production day as required

Key Skills/experience:

Audio engineering proficiency: Recording with a variety of microphones, with attention to detail and a desire to attain the best possible recordings

Experience using industry standard DAWs such as ProTools or Adobe Audition

Ability to clean up audio recordings and use a variety of plug-ins to create audio mixes which are of consistent and high quality

Speech audio editing: Cutting and rearranging audio which sounds natural and makes editorial sense

Positive Attitude & Team Spirit: We’re seeking someone who is motivated, solutions-oriented, and eager to contribute across all areas of production. A willingness to help out wherever needed is a must.

At least two years experience of working in an audio role within a production environment
