About the Show

SUPERFANS is a heartwarming video podcast series exploring music’s power to connect people from different backgrounds through shared fandom. Each 45-minute episode pairs two unlikely superfans of the same artist, culminating in a concert experience and potential artist meet-and-greet.

What You’ll Do

  • Produce 5 studio-based episodes (recording in Week 6) with remote coordination for final concert scenes
  • Execute multi-segment episode structure: fan introductions, first connection, musical deep dive, shared journey, concert experience, artist encounter, and reflection
  • Coordinate with talent management for final-scene meet-and-greet logistics
  • Manage fan casting workflow and vetting process using data platforms
  • Oversee editing workflow in Week 7 for 45-minute episodes
  • Create compelling short-form content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram (30-60 second clips optimized for each platform)
  • Negotiate talent and footage releases and diplomatically navigate access commitments
  • Develop additional audience engagement strategy and social media segments
  • Work within scrappy-tier budget constraints while maintaining high production values

You’re a Great Fit If You

  • Have 2-4 years of podcast/video production experience with portfolio examples
  • Are obsessed with short-form content and understand what makes clips go viral on TikTok/IG Reels/YouTube Shorts
  • Have experience with verite-style documentary storytelling that captures authentic emotion, and real person (non-celebrity) casting and producing
  • Can edit or closely direct editors for both long-form (45 min) and social cutdowns
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines (Week 6 rec, Week 7 editing)
  • Understand music rights and licensing basics
  • Are highly organized with multiple simultaneous workstreams (casting, logistics, production, post)
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision but communicate proactively

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with fan communities or music-focused content
  • Familiarity with concert and show venues/artist management protocols
  • Background in both studio and field production
  • Archival research experience
  • Post production (graphics, color grading and audio mixing) oversight skills
