We’re looking for a curious, detail-oriented Research Specialist on a freelance basis to support our survey-based research studies. You’ll perform vital quality assurance tasks at multiple stages of study execution.

This position is a great opportunity to get inside the podcast and online media industries, working with and understanding the data that drives hundreds of millions of dollars in international investment. Signal Hill Insights is a fast-growing company and we’re looking for people who want to grow with us.

You’ll work with a North American (US & Canada) based team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Online survey testing and QA
  • Data cleaning
  • Reviewing quantitative data
  • Coding qualitative data
  • Copyediting and proofreading reports
  • Other research tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Curious self-starter, eager to learn and up-skill
  • Attention to detail and a love for problem solving
  • Strong skills in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, along with Google Drive, Docs and Sheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative and collegial, able to work well with others in a fast-moving team environment
  • Able to consistently self-manage workloads and meet deadlines

Pluses:

  • Podcast, radio or digital audio industry experience
  • Experience with survey research
  • Qualitative research experience
