JOB DESCRIPTION

DAX US is looking for someone with an established record of sales leadership and revenue generation with a deep interest and passion for online media, audio, and innovation to join DAX as Director, Midwest Sales. You will oversee key holding company relationships and act as a central consultative sales leader for the region. We want someone who has a passion for working with clients, developing relationships externally and internally, is well versed in public speaking and deeply rooted in the Midwest digital media industry. Above all, your work will contribute to the growth of the broader digital audio space.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES

● In collaboration with the SVP of Sales, define the regional sales growth strategy for Midwest region sales

● Manage sales forecasts accurately, achieve set budgets and goal across direct, programmatic, and podcast sales

● Meet and exceed revenue and meeting targets

● Implement/lead/oversee client events, social engagements, and sponsorships based on local market dynamics and broad business knowledge

● Represent DAX at events and serve as a company ambassador

● Engage with key clients on a senior level, and deliver world-class consultative customer service

● Analyze, validate, and update performance to maximize growth

● Coordinate with the communications planning team and strategic planners, account directors, and buyers to create successful ad campaigns

● Maintain high levels of communication and transparency with management, cross-functional teams, and business partners internally and externally

● Reports to SVP, Sales

REQUIREMENTS

● You have a bachelor’s degree

● You have 6+ years of experience in a media agency/digital sales role preferably with experience in digital audio

● You have deep knowledge of audio buying across direct and programmatic and have the ability to be creative with audio and digital client solutions

● You have strong negotiation skills and the ability to present effectively and close the deal

● You have the ability to build a pipeline and proven track record of exceeding goals

● You have dexterity in creating reports and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, etc.

● You have a deep understanding of both the digital and audio ecosystems

● You are a team player, smart, adapt well with change and have a positive attitude

● You are able to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment and across external and internal teams to deliver optimal client campaigns
