Summary

The Ad Operations and Account Manager at 1440 Media is a hybrid role that sits at the intersection of client success, campaign execution, and revenue operations. They will own and coordinate many steps in the post-sale process. This role ensures that advertising campaigns are executed seamlessly from asset collection through final delivery, often working on tight timelines. This position will work in a fast-paced digital media environment, have strong communication and analytical skills, and take pride in ensuring every campaign runs flawlessly—from planning through post-campaign reporting.

Responsibilities

Ad Operations (60%)

  • Oversee end-to-end ad campaign setup, trafficking, optimization, and delivery across newsletter and digital platforms.
  • Manage and QA creative assets, ensuring proper tracking, targeting, and performance functionality.
  • Generate and distribute performance reports with actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate with partners to ensure assets are delivered on time, manage deadlines, and work with the sales team to execute campaigns.

Account Management (40%)

  • Serve as a point of contact for advertising partners, ensuring clear communication and seamless campaign delivery.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication and performance insights.
  • Manage client expectations, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful campaign outcomes.
  • Collaborate with sales and brand teams to develop high-quality proposals and renewals.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and identify opportunities for upsells or partnership expansion.
  • Support the sales team with media plans, pricing, and campaign performance data to drive efficiency and revenue growth.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness and client ROI.

Support broader 1440 mission, products, and strategy (~10%)

  • Join weekly small and full team calls.
  • Help identify opportunities to integrate 1440 Topics with the core product.
  • Master 1440’s editorial voice and help translate it to social media in an engaging way.
  • Stay up to date on trends and algorithms to better support the brand.
  • Report KPIs to the 1440 team regularly and efficiently.
  • Contribute to improvements; test assumptions often; help shape the fabric of our company.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in Ad Operations, Revenue Operations, Project Management, Account Management, or a similar role.
  • Publisher and/or ad tech background a plus
