New York, June 08, 2026 – Pinna, Realm’s award-winning audio streaming service for kids and families, today announced the upcoming sixth season of Grimm, Grimmer, Grimmest, the beloved interactive storytelling podcast inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairytales and hosted by New York Times bestselling author Adam Gidwitz. New episodes will premiere this fall.
In Grimm, Grimmer, Grimmest, Gidwitz and his kid collaborators spin unique, unfiltered story experiences out of classic tales from around the world. Each story is rated on a scale of “Grimm, Grimmer, or Grimmest,” letting audiences choose their own level of spookiness.
This season, Gidwitz, a former math teacher, invited elementary school kids in Brooklyn and Staten Island to join him for live storytelling sessions. Recordings at Park Slope’s PS 321 and Concord’s PS 9 The Naples Street School captured the candid questions, laughter, and reactions that have become a hallmark of the series. These classroom sessions will be featured as part of the show’s first-ever video season, giving audiences a chance to see the young listeners behind the voices for the very first time. To celebrate the upcoming season, fairy tale fans of all ages are invited to join Adam Gidwitz for a special performance of Grimm, Grimmer, Grimmest at The Public Theater’s Family Afternoon at The Delacorte, on Sunday, June 14, at 4:00 PM ET in front of the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The free family event celebrates the launch of Shakespeare for the City and Free Shakespeare in the Park with an afternoon of activities for children and families. The first 100 kids at the Grimm, Grimmer, Grimmest performance will receive a special gift bag.

First launched in 2018, Grimm, Grimmer, Grimmest has earned widespread acclaim from families, educators, and critics alike. The series won the 2025 Webby Award for Best Kids & Family Podcast and was again nominated in the same category at the 2026 Webby Awards, in addition to earning a Parents’ Choice Gold Award and Kidscreen Award recognition.
