Job Summary: 

Crooked is hiring for a Sales Coordinator on the Sales department reporting to VP of Sales. This role will span the life of the sales cycle, and you will coordinate proposal creation, vetting, execution; post-sale reporting, client services, and renewal activity. Crooked Media’s primary inventory is bespoke audio advertisements across podcasts, but it also includes newsletter sponsorship, event integration, and premium video and social sponsorship.

Crooked has adopted a hybrid work model for our entire staff. We believe that the best work is done in a hybrid capacity as it combines the flexibility of working from home with in-person collaboration. We are ideally looking for Los Angeles-based candidates, or candidates willing to relocate within the first 3 months of accepting an offer. 

How You’ll Spend Your Time:

Sales Operations

  • Generate media plans and sponsorship proposals for podcasts, newsletters, event integration, and video (Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint or Keynote)
  • Help manage the advertising partner vetting process
  • Maintain the schedule for booked ads and available ad inventory
  • Work cross-functionally to fashion bespoke ad packages and custom copy on a case-by-case basis
  • Research new clients and outreach and respond to ads inbox daily
  • Work with Account Managers to reconcile client billing
  • Contribute to additional sales projects that require research, deck development or proactive response on a case-by-case basis

Client Services

  • Coordinate the gathering, circulation and approval of ad copy for upcoming ads in podcasts and newsletters
  • Review ad copy to ensure it mirrors the appropriate Crooked voice and offer revision suggestions if needed.
  • Coordinate the insertion order process and client communication around said process
  • Help maintain internal filing system of client-related documents across all systems
  • Communicate with clients and internal teams in a timely fashion on a day-to-day basis, and escalate issues when necessary
  • Contribute to kick-off call/kick-off email agendas and timelines
  • Create post reporting documents (PPT / Keynote) with insights and recommendations from Senior Account Managers
  • Pull client airchecks as needed

What You’ll Bring To The Table:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a client-facing, project management or ad sales marketing role, preferably with a focus on branded content, podcasts or video
  • A preference for varied client experience. A range from Fortune 500 clients, to startups, or smaller B2B clients
  • A willingness to learn new skills and take on varying tasks
  • Positive attitude and a passion for podcasts, politics, and media
  • Creative take on ad copy, attention to detail and design
  • Highly responsive nature with the ability to organize, multi-task and problem solve
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis in Excel), creating pitch decks (Google Slides/Powerpoint), and proposals (Google Sheets)
  • Copywriting/creative capabilities a bonus.

When we open up a position, we conduct a market analysis to ensure we have the most up-to-date data. Once we’re ready to extend an offer, we look at the individual’s years of relevant experience and other compensable factors to determine a competitive offer. And for this role, the starting salary range is $70,000 – $75,000.
