Join editaudio and be part of a diverse team of passionate, creative individuals who create engaging podcast content. We’re looking for an experienced Audio Producer/Editor who will support end-to-end production, editing and show development for our range of client and original podcasts. The ideal candidate will have strong virtual recording, editing, mixing and post-production skills.
This is a full-time remote role on a 6-month contract, with opportunity to extend.
Candidates located in the US, UK or Canada are preferred.
What You’ll Do:
Show Development & Production
– Creating copy, sound design, segments, the narratives, and audience personas
– Manage host/talent and contributor relationships, developing talent and providing continuous feedback
– Working with the team and clients to understand needs and manage timelines and deliverables accordingly
– Overseeing pre-production / production schedules and creating prep documents
– Chasing, booking and scheduling of contributors/guests
– Working with Sales and Marketing to track, script and record ad reads on a timely basis
– Working with hosts and other producers on obtaining and crafting any necessary elements to complete episodes (i.e. research, video + visual assets)
– Supporting marketing and PR efforts for the show and advocating for its growth
Technical Editing
– Downloading raw audio and cleaning ums, stumbles, pauses and repetitions in conversation
– Crafting, identifying and editing music to enhance episodes
– Scripting, directing, adding and editing narration
– Levelling, EQing, Compressing and applying a noise gate to suit the audio and enhance its quality, Mixing and mastering final-cuts to industry standards.
Editorial
– Make editorial decisions about removing or keeping content
– Make creative decisions to enhance the sound and mood of the podcast
– Work with clients to understand their needs and manage timelines and deliverables
– Reviewing and providing feedback on team members’ work
– Pitching and contributing ideas for future editaudio originals
– Pitching and contributing ideas for ways to strengthen and grow editaudio

– Is comfortable working remotely and with team members located in different time zones
– Feels comfortable communicating with clients/potential clients in a professional manner
