6 February 2025; London: Audion, a European digital audio advertising specialist, has appointed Cyrine Chahed to the newly created role of UK sales manager as it kicks off its 2025 growth strategy. Chahed joins the company from Sky Media where she worked with major clients such as Publicis to plan and optimise advertising campaigns.
Chahed will contribute to Audion’s ongoing expansion by developing new business opportunities and enhancing collaborations with agencies and advertisers in the UK and across the EMEA region. She joins UK lead Conor O’Mahoney who has extended the company’s footprint, growing its presence and client base in the UK over the past three years.
Digital audio presents a sizeable and growing opportunity for buy and sell side players in the adtech sector. Over 90% of people in the UK listen to audio content each week, with digital audio accounting for 16 hours of listening time a week. Digital audio ad spend, which has grown consistently, is forecast to reach £236 million ($293 million) in 2025, increasing to £268 million by 2029.
Audion enables its clients, which span the entire audio ecosystem, to leverage these openings. A technology partner for publishers, creators and podcasters, it offers a content hosting and distribution platform, ad management and monetisation solutions, and programmatic media trading capabilities. Brands and agencies benefit from the company’s extensive audio inventory across every audio channel, cross-platform targeting tools, content creation facilities, and campaign planning and optimisation that uses dynamic creative optimisation (DCO) technology.
In addition to growing its team on the ground in the UK, Audion has strengthened its reach across Europe and EMEA: Elie Kauffmann, previously industry lead France and sales lead Belgium for the company, has been promoted to head of sales, EMEA; Nicolas Chrun has been appointed as global programmatic sales manager in France: and Alexandra Marit joins the Belgian office as sales manager.
Kamel El Hadef, co-founder of Audion says: “We are delighted with these new appointments within Audion; they are a testament to the strong growth of our activities, including in emerging areas of digital audio. Furthermore, our international presence continues to expand with experienced and highly skilled professionals in each of our markets. With this new structure in place, 2025 is off to the best possible start.”
Chahed says: “Digital audio offers a powerful opportunity for advertisers and publishers to engage people in a dynamic and immersive way. Joining the team at Audion enables me to leverage my experience in media and data-driven advertising to help brands and agencies extend their connections with existing customers, while also reaching new audiences.”
