🚀 Ausha Upgrades to IAB Podcast Measurement 2.2: Aligning with the Highest Industry Standards in Trust and Data Transparency

Ausha, the leading platform in Podcast Marketing, now provides IAB Podcast Measurement 2.2-certified analytics to all its users.

As advertising requirements tighten and data ethics move to the forefront, podcast creators need stats they can truly rely on. With this upgrade, Ausha delivers analytics that are not just accurate, but compliant, transparent, and trusted across the industry.

The IAB Podcast Measurement Guidelines 2.2 Is Essential for Credible Podcast Growth

This is the most recent and rigorous framework for podcast audience measurement. It defines how a “valid download” is counted, ensures audience privacy, and sets the rules for ad compliance.

For podcasters, it means:

â—Ź Clean, reliable stats by default

â—Ź Compliance with ad networks like Google

â—Ź A stronger position when pitching to sponsors and partners

Ausha is proud to deliver this level of certification to all users—making enterprise-grade analytics the default, not the exception.

What’s New Compared to Version 2.1

Ausha’s podcast analytics have been certified for the IAB Podcast Measurement Guidelines

2.1 certified since 2022.

With IAB Podcast Measurement Guidelines2.2, there’s no disruption to how downloads are counted. The core rules remain in place: a download is still only registered after one full minute of listening, limited to one per IP address per episode every 24 hours, with bot traffic filtered out by default.

What’s new is how platforms are expected to provide an extra level of transparency to increase trust in the podcast market.

â—Ź DOM (Description of Methodology): A key new requirement, the DOM is a detailed document outlining how listener data is collected, processed, and secured. It adds a layer of transparency that reinforces trust across the ecosystem.

â—Ź Validated Downloads, Stronger Measurement Standards: Updates on prefix measurement, handling of invalid traffic, and reinforce that the “ad delivered” metric only includes filtered and validated downloads.

To help podcasters better understand how a download is actually measured, Ausha has released a visual infographic that clearly explains the process step by step.

In short, IAB Podcast Measurement Guidelines2.2 doesn’t change how downloads are counted, but it raises the bar for ongoing compliance and transparency.

With the adoption of IAB 2.2, Ausha reaffirms its commitment to delivering podcast analytics that meet the highest standards of trust, accuracy, and transparency.

This isn’t just about compliance. It’s about giving creators, advertisers, and listeners the confidence that every download is counted fairly and ethically.
