THE ROLE

Leading and Supporting on BAU Processes

  • Owning and supporting multiple parts of the end to end process for the distribution of audio ex-UK, including coordinating rights checks of content, supporting on fulfilment activity and advising BBC Studios teams on questions relates to payaway processes
  • Own activity related to audio ad-sales BAU process, including onboarding of new shows
  • Supporting the Audio Ad Sales Manager on key activity related to podcast ad-sales data management and insight, including on inventory avails for shows
  • Guiding ad-sales teams on opportunities for sales through creative bundling and/or market intel
  • Working closely with finance teams, preparing usage and financial reports for end to end process purposes
  • Coordinate production process for any in-house made ads, ensuring delivery on time and to requirements, and within the brand guidelines
  • Help cascade information across the business unit to ensure effective communication flow

Project Activity

  • Support on ad-technology or ad-sales project activity, including any migration projects or implementation of new tools that enable BBC or third party sales teams to more effectively sell against our inventory
  • Lead or support on account management with third party sales houses, enhancing the relationship we have with them, and managing and resolving queries and outstanding questions they may have
  • Assist other projects and working groups across audio by providing general administration services, basic analytics reports and tracking outputs
  • Supporting different business units within BBC Studios to realise value from Audio content or IP
  • Support the implementation of strategic priorities and initiatives by providing and collating information as required
  • Performing early stage feasibility assessments or research on new initiatives being considered in the audio landscape for BBC Studios, designed to realise greater value from content

Other Responsibilities

  • Being a ‘subject matter expert’ on the audio landscape across BBC Studios and how and where content is being distributed and monetised
  • Work effectively with key business unit stakeholders ensuring business support services are delivered efficiently
  • Work effectively with key BBC Sounds, BBC Studios and BBC World Service stakeholders ensuring business support services are delivered efficiently.
  • Provide the management team(s) with business support service including diary assistance , travel logistics, co-ordination of meetings, etc.
  • Act as a champion of BBC Audio output internally and to the external sector
  • Act as a champion of diversity and inclusive working practice

WHAT DOES IT TAKE

Key Criteria

  • Passion for the audio industry and specifically the digital audio landscape
  • Organised, with ability to prioritise own workload effectively, to coordinate activities and conflicting demands to ensure that tight deadlines are met.
  • Experience successfully communicating with a range of stakeholders using a variety of modes and methods, and the ability to target content for the audience.
  • Proven ability to work constructively in partnership with a range of individuals.
  • Basic analytical skills, with experience of providing MI data reports.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting projects with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, using own initiative and being proactive to both add value and solve problems
  • Excellent attention to detail and practical experience of gathering, analysing and collating complex and confidential information
  • Relevant business management and/or project management qualification.

PACKAGE DESCRIPTION

Band: C

Salary: £28,500 – £35,000 + London Weighting (£5,164) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Contract type: Permanent role

Location: Office base is London (Television Centre). This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working
