OVERVIEW
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Content and Comms Manager to join our dynamic media agency specializing in audio-first creator advertising. In this role, you will own our content strategy and development across client-facing and internal initiatives to drive agency growth and elevate our brand presence within the audio advertising landscape and with marketers. You will also support key projects for the agency teams to enable stronger client engagements. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the audio advertising industry, a proven track record of success in marketing, and exceptional storytelling abilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Content creation and management: Write high-quality content, including blog posts, articles, case studies, white papers, newsletters, website copy, LinkedIn updates, and other marketing collateral that effectively communicates our brand message and resonates with target audiences. Enforce style guidelines, deadlines, and budgets.
- Craft compelling marketing narratives: Develop engaging narratives that showcase our agency’s expertise, highlight client successes, and communicate the value of audio advertising and related solutions.
- Collaborate on ARM’s calendar of editorial, social, events, and sales enablement priorities: Create and execute marketing plans that align with agency goals, target key audiences, and effectively position our services within the audio advertising industry and adjacent opportunities. Operationalize press coverage. Occasionally liaise with event and partnership contacts to ensure alignment.
- Market research and analysis: Identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in audio advertising and adjacent creator spaces to fuel content development and ensure ARM is at the forefront of the industry.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams: Work closely with the strategy, planning, new business development, creative, and analytics teams to ensure alignment between marketing efforts, client deliverables, and agency goals. Partner with other marketers, editors and freelancers.
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably within the media or advertising industry. Agency or audio advertising experience is a bonus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and present information clearly and persuasively.
- Experience in content creation and management across various platforms.
- Ability to mix strong analytical and problem-solving skills with creativity and prioritization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small and nimble team.
- Proactive self-starter, willing and eager to jump in and execute.
- Consistent track record of project management from concept through implementation and completion.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Passion for audio and digital media. Bonus for an understanding of the audio advertising landscape, including podcasts, streaming audio, and terrestrial radio.
- Experience using Google Analytics, content management systems, SEO tools, project management software and social media tools.
