Position Overview

This position supports The Podglomerate’s corporate efforts by developing and optimizing content for The Podglomerate’s marketing communications including but not limited to, website, blog, press releases, email newsletter, social media, etc. This also includes optimizing content for SEO, managing content calendars, and analyzing data. This position reports directly to our senior-most marketing team member, the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Audience Development, who in-turn reports to the CEO. You may regularly interact with other members of The Podglomerate ecosystem, including but not limited to: full-time staff, part-time staff, contract-based contributors, vendors, sponsors, clients, and talent.

The Content Marketing Coordinator is responsible for independently executing tasks assigned by The Podglomerate’s full-time staff members, that meet or exceed quality and established delivery timelines. The expected workload is approximately 10-20 hours per week.

 

Compensation

Hourly: $25-30/hour, depending primarily on demonstrated success in the “Qualifications/Requirements” section below.

Flat Fee: depending on the project, we could mutually agree to a flat fee in lieu of hourly compensation.

Blended: depending on the project, we could mutually agree to a flat fee, plus hourly compensation.

 

Advancement Opportunities

This role is strictly for a contractor position, with no promise of future employment in any form; however, as our business needs grow and change, we are open to discussing role expansion, and/or full-time employment. If we establish a successful working relationship, we are amenable to discussing the below as opportunities develop:

  • Expanding scope of tasks on current assignment.
  • Additional contract assignments.
  • Part-time employment on the Marketing team.
  • Full-time employment on the Marketing team.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop, publish, and manage content (copy, graphics, etc.) for website, blog, press releases, email newsletter, and social media.
  • Update and optimize content for SEO.
  • Assessing and analyzing content and platform performance on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Working directly with The Podglomerate’s team to develop effective content campaigns and explore advancements in platforms and tactics, recommending changes or tests to current processes that support growth and improve results.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

Strong preference given to:

  • A demonstrated history of contributing to successful company content marketing campaigns in the last 2 years.
  • 2+ years professional experience with copywriting and digital content creation
  • Familiarity of the podcast industry (trends, topics, key players, etc.).
  • Computer and technology literacy in content platforms and monitoring tools including LinkedIn, MailChimp, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, WordPress, Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, etc.), Canva, Slack, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.

Strong communication, writing, and copyediting skills.

Experience in managing deadlines and being detail-oriented.

Experience with digital marketing, SEO, SEM, and campaign analytics.

Experience with organizing, managing, and executing both small and large scale projects, using sound judgment to plan and prioritize competing priorities.

Ability to work independently from a remote location.

Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) engines and how they can be leveraged for content marketing.

 

Special Requirements

  • The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment.
  • Limited travel.
  • Flexible schedule required.

 

Working Conditions

  • Remote work – employee controls working environment.
  • Labor is akin to that of an “office environment,” with frequent, computer, mouse, and keyboard use.
