We’re a creative, fast-moving organisation with big ambitions and a brilliant team that makes them happen.

We’re looking for a development producer to help us deliver our next stage of growth.

This is a pivotal role for the person who wants to turn creative ideas into a tangible reality. As a key part of pilot creation as a creative producer and a cross-functional project manager for launches, you will serve a key role in the development process.

Acting as a main point of contact during the launch process and supporting several department projects, with expert project management and a creative eye. You’ll thrive in an environment where you can dive into the details of content development while collaborating across teams to create world-class shows at scale.

The Role
  • Creative Build & Talent Management: Record and edit pilots and chemistry tests, brief and closely produce high-profile talent to ensure the highest standards from the outset.
  • Project Management Support: Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Digital, and Commercial teams to shepherd projects from greenlight to launch.
  • Launch Excellence: Support the development team and Executive Producers in the smooth launch of new shows and formats.
  • High-Level Research: Provide key research to support the C-suite and Heads of Department in assessing the viability of new ideas and stories.
  • Department Communications: Manage monthly department reports and all-team newsletter round-ups, ensuring operational excellence and transparency.
  • Coordination & Facilitation: Coordinate key meetings between leadership and external parties, collating and refining notes to drive projects forward.
  • Pitch Management: Act as the first point of contact for pitches, reviewing and compiling recommendations for the department.
  • Industry Innovation: Stay across new trends, spot potential talent, and new content ideas to support the creative growth of the company.
Requirements
  • Talent Experience: A proven track record working directly with high-profile talent and their management teams.
  • End-to-End Production: Experience producing concepts from initial research through to recording and final editing.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to edit audio and video within the Adobe Suite and run recording in the studio and on location.
  • Research Rigour: A love for traditional research methods and experience providing detailed research packs for hosts.
  • Operational Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, whether you are managing complex project timelines or refining an edit.
  • Sector Expertise: A deep knowledge of the podcasting and digital content sector, with a passion for creative storytelling.
  • Adaptability: Comfort operating in a fast-growing, high-autonomy environment where needs are constantly evolving.
  • Professionalism: A knack for calmness and the ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure.

Why join Goalhanger?

  • A rare opportunity to help shape the content development of one of the UK’s most influential media companies.
  • A creative, collaborative, close-knit team that genuinely cares about its work and each other.
  • Take a central role in shaping the next generation of shows from initial concept to launch, with the scope to work across various genres and broaden your expertise as our content slate expands
  • Competitive salary and benefits, plus opportunities for growth within the role as our team and content portfolio expand.

We'll walk through who they are, how they consume media, what drives their remarkable loyalty, and why they function as the word-of-mouth engine of the entire podcast ecosystem. Join Tom Webster, Partner at Sounds Profitable, and Alberto Betella from RSS.com as they present original research you won't find anywhere else. Whether you sell ads, make shows, or build platforms, you'll leave with a clearer picture of the audience that matters most and a better understanding of what to do about it.
