Who You Are

You’re a podcast aficionado and know firsthand how to organize, lead, and grow a talented team of producers and show talent. You’re an authentic leader that get excited by collaborating with producers and talent to build strong relationships and create the highest quality content and processes.

You’re a process and production operations enthusiast and love bringing structure and organization to your work. By default, you bring an owner mindset to your work and your team and know that mall iterative improvements can create exponential impact. You’re at home bringing structure, processes, and systems to production workflows and are always on the hunt for new opportunities to gain efficiency and impact.

What You’ll Do

As our Director of Podcast Operations, you’ll help lead the day-to-day management and ongoing transformation of our podcast network. You’ll lead the daily podcast operations and the strategic development of our entire podcast network, including content planning, production, and network growth. Every day will look a little different, but in general, you will do things like:

  • Lead Production Operations: You’ll partner with the production team to coordinate, oversee, and improve daily podcast operations with a focus on quality, timeliness, and efficiency.
  • Manage and Grow Talent: In partnership with our Podcast Content Manager, you’ll be responsible for working with hosts and producers to craft the short and long-term content strategy across our entire podcast network.
  • Increase Reach: You’ll collaborate with other teams across Blockworks to identify, develop, and launch new tactics to increase downloads, views, and overall engagement.
  • Attract and Develop New Talent: Using your network and relational skills, you’ll partner with our podcast hosts, producers, and content experts to source and develop talent on the team.
  • Scale the Network: You’ll oversee the strategic and operational processes to help us scale our podcast network through organic growth and acquisition.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You’ll work with other teams across Blockworks, including Research and Events to lead initiatives and strategic collaborations.

Experimentation is frequent at Blockworks. Comfortability with being uncomfortable is a must.

What You’ve Done Before

You have at least 3 years of experience managing professional podcast productions at scale, ideally within the crypto, finance, or high-growth start-ups. During that time, you had an exceptional track record of developing and maintaining the podcast schedules and timely production. You have hands-on experience directly producing shows and know how to bring a level of professionalism and elegance to every production. Lastly, you have a deep enthusiasm and passion for crypto and the future of the industry.

It’d Be Great If You’ve Done This

Having a background in podcast promotions across social and email platforms will set you apart from other candidates. If you have any experience growing a production team from the ground up in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear about that, too. Lastly, we’d love to have someone with the demonstrated ability to analyze listener feedback and continuously improve team outcomes based on the results.

Salary, Benefits, & How We Work

This is a full time exempt position with an expected salary of $175,000/year.
