Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Guest Strategy Assistant to join our

highly motivated DOAC team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating

seamless guest experiences from the initial booking process through to the end of a

recording. This role will involve hard work, problem solving and a lot of fun!

The Diary of a CEO podcast releases two in-person recordings per week, all year round,

with no breaks. We are looking for someone to help source the best talent in the world to

come on the show. The ideal candidate will have a strong 360 knowledge of current

trends/people in literature, sport, film, music, social media, podcasting, science, business,

life – the list goes on!

Tasks

● Researching suitable guests and bidding for interviews

● Spotting YouTube trends

● Following over-performing trends and guest performances

● Studying the DOAC YouTube backend

● Being highly aware of cultural trends, news and geo-politics.

● Summarise and write detailed pitches on perspective guests

● Sourcing the right contacts for outreach

● Tracking guest booking progress

● Forward planning and anticipating problems

● Proactive on administrative jobs eg. tracking release forms to be signed, booking

taxis, hotels and flights for guests, sending gifts to guests/pr’s, organising events

● Updating decks, coming up with fresh new ideas

● Creating and writing the email newsletter with updates to our contacts

Qualities

– Highly personable with excellent communication skills, verbal and written

– Flexibility

– Willingness to attend out of hours recordings e.g. late recordings or weekends

– Organised, efficient, working across a number of different interview bids at any one

time

– Ability and willingness to develop and maintain a good network of contacts

– Awareness of DOAC, the variety of guests and the audience who listen

– Ability to work independently and use judgement to make decisions, while still being

part of a team

– Ability to work to tight and changing deadlines

– Confidence – need to be able to deal with publicists and talent in a professional

manner

– Problem-solving and sound decision-making skills, especially in limited time

– A cracking sense of humour!!!
