The Axis is a creative agency specializing in storytelling through unique, high-quality podcasts to build content engines and grow highly engaged audiences for doctors, thought leaders, and industry professionals within aesthetic and retail medicine.

Audio & Video Editor

The Axis is looking for an audio engineer to edit podcast recordings into a high-quality finished product. This role requires empathy and thoughtfulness for a largely female audience base, a strong blend of audio and video editing skills, ability to follow direction, and consistently meet deadlines.

You’ll edit long and short form podcast recordings, creating and adding simple graphics and music as required for our in-house podcasts and our podcast clients, tailor them for our platforms, and deliver content that promotes our production style and client aesthetic.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce high-quality episodes of our company podcasts for multiple platforms, including social media and YouTube, ensuring clear audio and engaging content
  • Proactively identify and suggest ways to improve and enhance recording quality
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and take direction from project leads

Requirements

  • Impeccable ear for audio quality; proficiency in audio editing tools (e.g., Hindenburg, Audacity, Adobe Audition)
  • Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Davinci, After Effects)
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, audio clarity, and visual composition.
  • Daytime availability for production meetings and creative collaboration as needed
  • Outstanding time management skills; able to work to tight deadlines when needed
  • Accustomed to remote work environments & working within ticket-based project management systems (Monday, Jira, Trello, ClickUp etc)
  • Seeks feedback, takes & offers direction constructively
  • Experience with graphic design software (e.g. Photoshop, Canva) is a plus
