YAP MEDIA NYC is hiring a full-time, Austin-based Podcast Producer to support Top Podcasters and eight-figure business owners. This role is the heart of our production team, responsible for creative deliverables, finalizing episodes and day-to-day production.
YAP Media is recognized among top business and self-development podcast networks, featuring guests including Russell Brunson, Daymond John, Marie Forleo, Grant Cardone and Leila Hormozi. We seek a creative, organized and detail-oriented producer with expert storytelling and a keen eye for content, titles, show notes and video clips. Responsibilities
– Content Editing: Review episodes edited and mastered by the Audio Engineer in Descript. Make final content edits, add intros/outros, export and upload to the hosting provider.
– Copywriting: Write engaging, story-driven show notes and sponsorship copy aligned with client brand guidelines and tone, following copywriting SOPs with judgment.
– Titles: Create clear, compelling episode titles aligned with show notes and trailers, and thumbnail titles for short-form clips.
– Short Form Videos: Select two clips per episode and create rough edits for video editors to finish.
– Episode Trailers: Select highlights for a unique thirty-second trailer at the start of each episode.
– Production Coordination: Maintain schedules and track tasks from recording to publishing; schedule episodes and run QA.
– Team Collaboration: Work with the Executive Producer, guest outreach, creative and social teams to deliver assets on time.
– Sound Checks: Support recording sound checks when the Executive Producer is unavailable.
– Communications: Communicate promptly and clearly through Slack and email with excellent syntax.
Results
Finalize up to six episodes weekly, including content edits, show notes, titles and short-form selections. Create trailers, notes and titles around a clear story theme. Make two rough-cut clips with hook, story and conclusion per episode. Keep production boards current daily.
Requirements
– Five or more years in podcasting or related industries.
– Resides in Austin, Texas.
– High standards and willingness to go the extra mile.
– Basic audio engineering: identify good/bad audio and video and fix common recording issues.
– Organized planning and prioritization across many deliverables and deadlines.
– Strong content judgment and attention to detail.
– Ability to follow instructions and delicate processes with minimal mistakes.
– Team player committed to clients and colleagues.
– Clear, articulate writing and communications.
Salary & Benefits
