About The Role

As Sales Lead, you’ll be at the forefront of our efforts to generate new and recurring sources of revenue through branded and work for hire opportunities. You’ll manage the full sales cycle, from handling RFPs to securing new business opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships. Your role involves crafting and executing sales strategies, and leveraging industry knowledge to drive revenue.

This is a full-time position, which reports to the VP, Business Development and is based in our New York, NY office.

What You’ll Do

  • Revenue generation: Meet quarterly and annual revenue targets. Source leads and drive business from lead generation to closed deals. Create and optimize the sales funnel to maximize conversions and revenue.
  • RFP management: Develop, direct, and implement processes to handle incoming and outgoing RFPs.
  • Lead generation: Utilize personal and company network connections to build a strong revenue pipeline.
  • Strategic & brand partnerships: Source, manage, and nurture relationships with work for hire partners to turn one-off projects into repeat business.
  • Sales strategy: Set up and run a highly efficient and productive sales strategy to bring in and manage a healthy pipeline of work – both new business and repeat business.
  • Sales performance tracking: Monitor and report on key sales metrics, providing regular insights to the management team.
  • Networking: Represent Pushkin at strategically important events and proactively seek introductions and build relationships with decision makers.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years of sales experience, ideally in the podcast, audio, digital or other new media industry.
  • A strong commitment to innovative and engaging audio content that challenges, educates, and inspires listeners.
  • Experience building relationships with top marketing decision-makers at brands and agencies.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze data and translate it into specific and measurable tactics, actions, and outcomes
  • Strong judgment, ability to multitask, make decisions, and manage at entrepreneurial speed.

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 – $135,000 annually, with a generous bonus commission. Compensation may vary within this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
