The Senior Media Buyer is responsible for negotiation and placement of all media for existing clients. As a Senior Buyer, this role is responsible for all audio negotiations and account maintenance, inclusive of network and satellite radio, streaming, and podcasting. The Senior Buyer will be assigned specific clients and be part of a team that manages the account from the start of negotiations to final campaign wrap up. The Senior Buyer will help mentor assistants and buyers. This candidate must be a creative thinker, incorporating the latest media trends and innovations. Candidate should exhibit a can-do attitude to tackle all assignments; be a creative problem solver that participates and takes interest in the agency, the industry and the success of our clients. The Senior Buyer will learn to work effectively with clients and closely with our planning group in developing strategies and customized enhancements. It’s imperative that this candidate follows technology and creative work to stay on top of pertinent information and trends.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the national buying process including the development of branded content, detailed audience tracking, strategic negotiations, and tactical scheduling.

Must deal effectively with clients and work closely with our planning group in developing strategies and customized enhancements, as is the ability to utilize multiple buying software programs.

Execution of network and satellite radio, streaming audio, and podcasting buys

Understands how to determine best KPI for client objectives and main metrics to evaluate for best KPI return. Can successfully pull in past or projected campaign metrics to support media recommendation

Creative right brain thinker with a keen business sense. Ability to train and supervise the younger members of the team.

Forms strong relationships with media vendors and clients.

Tracks media expenditures in Mediahub systems to ensure budget compliance.

Research and reports on trends, innovations, and changes that affect media buying.

Qualification – Required Skills

 

Passionate about advertising and the ability to spread that passion to others.

Experience in developing, negotiating, and executing network radio, satellite radio, streaming audio, and/or podcast campaigns

Experience with media buying and media research software, inclusive of Prisma and Act1

Ability to work hard and smart on several projects at once.

Ability to present to an audience.

Skilled communicator.

Mediahub does not require candidates to have a college degree

Qualifications – Desired Skills

 

2+ years of agency experience

Bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing preferred

Work experience in network, local, and/or digital audio preferred.

Skills in MS Office preferred, including MS Outlook.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred
