How you’ll make an impact:

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic individual to lead our new branded content sponsorships initiative within the podcast advertising division. This entrepreneurial leader will be responsible for establishing and driving a holistic branded content offering for our advertising clients, anchored by the top creators in the SiriusXM Podcast Network. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with creators to build out a scalable sponsored content business with domain expertise in Sales, Media Production, Operations, or similar roles within traditional media, social media, podcasting, influencer marketing, or talent management industries. Additionally, they demonstrate deep knowledge of the creator economy and the myriad ways of monetizing audience engagement through branded content sponsorships. This can include affiliate marketing opportunities, product placement, personal experience, and standard ad units across all channels (TikTok, Instagram, and other social media platforms, YouTube and other video platforms, audio/podcast players, and live events).

What you’ll do:

Strategy Development & Execution:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for branded content sponsorships, with a particular focus on Video and Social content, as a critical revenue channel within the SiriusXM Media podcast advertising division.
  • Develop and maintain a business plan for the branded content division, outlining revenue goals and growth strategies, working cross functionally with stakeholders across Content, Production/Programming, Talent Management, Marketing, Advertising Sales, and Operations (Trafficking, Client Services, Sales Development).
  • Use SiriusXM’s Build and execute this competency for Unwell Networks, which will serve as the blueprint for our other priority networks.

Operational Leadership:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the branded content partnerships team, including sales, content production, talent partnerships, and operations.
  • Design and optimize operational workflows to ensure seamless execution of sponsorship campaigns.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to execute campaigns, ensuring all deliverables and commitments are met with both clients and talent.

Campaign Strategy:

  • Oversee end-to-end management of branded content campaigns, including ideation, creative direction, content review/approvals, and performance analysis.
  • Develop and implement scalable programs that can be replicated across different campaigns, with a focus on utilizing Video products across Social platforms, ensuring maximum reach and engagement

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Establish a measurement framework to assess the performance of brand content partnerships, standardize metrics, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders
  • Utilize analytics tools to track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet business objectives

Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • Partner with internal co-sellers to prospect and close new business
  • Focus on developing key advertiser accounts, proactively prospecting, qualifying, growing, and maintaining an account list that includes primarily brands and large agencies.
  • Create innovative sales presentations and proposals, incorporating industry research and campaign performance data.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements to secure lucrative sponsorship deals.

Client & Talent Relationships:

  • Develop and participate in pitches to both talent and advertising clients/agencies.
  • Ensure the highest level of sales and operational customer service for our clients.
  • Prospect and cultivate key senior-level ad agency and company relationships.

What you’ll need:

  • 10+ yrs overall experience in advertising media industry
  • BA/BS Degree or related industry experience.
  • 5+ years in digital video advertising sales and Social Monetization, with strong familiarity with YouTube’s advertising ecosystem.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior relationships with brands/agencies are essential.
  • Experience from traditional media, social media, podcasting, influencer marketing, media production, or talent management fields is highly desirable.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with good public speaking and presentation abilities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Organization: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professionalism: Ability to project professionalism over Zoom/phone and in person.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $148,000 to $241,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
