Overview:

We’re seeking a creative, proactive, and detail-oriented Social Media & Community Coordinator to support the development and execution of innovative social strategies that drive audience growth and deepen community engagement. In this role, you will manage content calendars, track and analyze social media data, and create engaging original content, including still graphics, that resonates with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate combines a passion for social media trends with strong organizational skills to optimize strategies and foster vibrant, long-term audience relationships. Working closely with the Social Media Manager, you will play a key role in executing a cohesive social media presence that aligns with audience habits, leverages cultural moments, and fuels fandom. This position is being offered initially as a 6-month opportunity to assess fit and performance. At the end of this period, we will evaluate next steps, which may include an extension or transition to a more permanent role.

Content Calendar Management:

  • Develop and maintain a cohesive content calendar for all brands and shows and across all platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn).
  • Manage the vetting and review process for the content calendar, working closely with the VP, Communications and Brand Strategy and Social Media Manager to gather and pitch content ideas for the upcoming week.
  • Ensure alignment of the posting schedule with audience habits, cultural moments and high engagement times.

Social Media Content Strategy and Creation:

  • Assist in the development and execution of campaigns and social plans developed for different audiences and genres including true crime, wellness, and others.
  • Assist the Social Media Manager with drafting and reviewing social captions and copywriting.
  • Create engaging still graphic content, including infographics, quotes, branded templates, and promotional materials for social media channels.
  • Adapt assets to fit platform-specific requirements, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and maximizing engagement.
  • Maintain high-quality visual brand identity across all graphics, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Support paid social campaign efforts.

Community Engagement

  • Engage with followers and respond promptly to comments, messages, and mentions across all platforms to foster a sense of community.
  • Foster community participation through interactive content like polls, Q&A sessions, and user-generated content.
  • Optimize content for searchability using relevant keywords, SEO and hashtags.
  • Identify trending hashtags and participate in relevant conversations within the community.
  • Monitor and flag sensitive or concerning content to maintain a positive community environment.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track and report on social media KPIs, including engagement rates, follower growth, reach, impressions, and conversions.
  • Compile weekly social media recap reports, highlighting top and low-performing posts and feedback.
  • Set up monitoring tools to track mentions, trends, and audience sentiment, adapting strategies based on real-time data.
  • Use internal and external social analytics and other internal data to inform strategy, iterate creative, and constantly learn to improve future campaigns.
  • Conduct proactive research on competitors, emerging creators, and the latest social platform tools to maintain a cutting-edge understanding of best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and platform updates to ensure our content remains relevant and engaging.

Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree, required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in social media management or community coordination.
  • Experience managing content calendar for multiple brands and across various platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook.
  • Experience in creating static social media assets such as infographics, memes, quotes, and promotional graphics tailored to platform specifications.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of what works across various social platforms and experience in multi-channel distribution efforts.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills across all levels.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and highly collaborative – loves working with others, but isn’t afraid to lead or take risks.
  • Experience using data and intuition to create engaging, attention-grabbing content.
  • Proficiency with Canva is required, and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or other graphic design tools is a plus.
  • Experience with social media tools (Later, Sprinklr, Spredfast, Sprout, Keyhole, Julius and/or other similar software) and data tracking platforms.
  • Passion for media, entertainment, podcasting and community building.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a safe and prudent manner.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with other employees, management, individuals well-known to the public, creators, and studios.
  • Ability to perform work utilizing manual dexterity of the hands.
  • Ability to reach above and below shoulders, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, climb, kneel, push and/or pull, and twist.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in the Los Angeles PAVE Studios office environment on a full-time basis, with some night and weekend work, as required.
  • Ability to effectively manage and process challenging and sensitive subjects, including difficult and dark topics.
  • Correctable vision and hearing.
