Primary Focus: The Rich Roll Podcast

Location: Westlake Village, CA (Primarily In-Person with Some Hybrid Flexibility)

Voicing Change Media is seeking a Video Editor to join our team and work primarily on The Rich Roll Podcast. This role is for an editor with excellent Adobe Premiere skills, strong editorial instincts, and a deep understanding of how to shape long-form and short-form video into compelling stories that resonate.

The ideal candidate is more than technically proficient — they are an instinctive storyteller. They know how to arrange podcast episodes, YouTube video episodes, and video ads in a way that feels emotionally alive, rhythmically engaging, and substantively meaningful. They understand pacing, narrative build, visual flow, and how to create content that carries an inspiring, active energy without sacrificing depth or authenticity.

This position is based in Westlake Village, California and is primarily in-person, with some hybrid flexibility. The role requires someone who can be on-site frequently and available to work in person whenever needed, depending on production schedules, creative needs, and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit full-length podcast episodes and YouTube video episodes for digital platforms
• Shape conversations into visually engaging, emotionally resonant, and narratively cohesive video experiences
• Create and edit short-form content, cutdowns, trailers, and promotional assets from podcast episodes
• Edit video ads and sponsor integrations in a way that feels polished, aligned, and compelling
• Collaborate with producers and creative leads to identify the strongest story arcs, emotional beats, and visual opportunities within each episode
• Refine pacing, structure, and flow to maximize viewer retention and overall impact
• Integrate b-roll, archival footage, graphics, text, music, and sound design elements where appropriate to support storytelling
• Perform color correction and ensure a polished, consistent visual finish across deliverables
• Ensure all edits are on-brand and aligned with the tone, values, and visual identity of Rich Roll and Voicing Change Media
• Manage project files, exports, versioning, and delivery deadlines with professionalism and consistency
• Contribute creative ideas that elevate the editorial quality and performance of content across platforms

Qualifications

• High level of proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Strong editorial judgment and a clear instinct for story, pacing, rhythm, and emotional arc
• Experience editing podcast episodes, interview-based content, YouTube videos, and/or branded video ads
• Ability to work with long-form conversations and identify the most compelling moments, themes, and narrative throughlines
• Strong sense of taste, timing, and structure
• Experience with color correction and maintaining visual consistency across projects
• Familiarity with digital content trends and what makes video perform on YouTube and social platforms
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects efficiently
• Strong communication skills and comfort working collaboratively with a creative team
• Able and willing to work on-site in Westlake Village regularly, with flexibility to be in person whenever needed
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and motion graphics skills are a plus
• A genuine interest in meaningful, substantive content in the areas of health, wellness, personal growth, culture, and transformation is strongly preferred

About the Work

This role will focus primarily on The Rich Roll Podcast, including full episode edits, YouTube video episodes, promotional materials, and video ads. The right person will understand how to preserve the integrity of a conversation while enhancing its emotional and narrative power through editing.
