About the job

We are one of the fastest-growing podcast and audiobook platforms in Europe and we are now looking for a VP, People & Culture to join our journey to enrich lives through listening.

This is the role

As VP, People & Culture, you will lead the global people agenda, ensuring our people strategy is deeply integrated with business priorities — driving growth, retention, innovation, and market expansion.

Reporting directly to the co-founder and Chief People & Culture Officer, you will oversee the full employee lifecycle and partner closely with the P&C team, the executive team, and leaders across the business. Together, you will build a workplace where people can thrive and where our culture and systems scale alongside our ambitions. The role is based out of our Copenhagen HQ. Some travel activity is expected.

What you’ll do:

Strategic Leadership & Business Impact

  • Execute and evolve the People & Culture vision and strategy aligned with Podimo’s mission and growth.
  • Lead our Strategic People Partners and People Operations team to deliver people-centred initiatives that link directly to business outcomes.
  • Use people analytics and insights to guide decision-making, measure impact, and forecast workforce needs.

Talent & Organisational Development

  • Partner with leadership to shape organisational design, scale effectively, and plan for future talent needs.
  • Ensure a pragmatic workforce planning, executive succession planning and leadership pipeline development.
  • Build programs to develop high-performing leaders and nurture internal mobility.
  • Work with the Global Talent Attraction Lead to strengthen employer brand and talent attraction strategies, positioning Podimo as a top global destination for talent.

Culture, Experience & Future of Work

  • Strengthen Podimo’s values and culture globally, fostering inclusion, well-being, and engagement.
  • Champion future-of-work practices, including flexible/hybrid models and digital collaboration.
  • Ensure a seamless and engaging employee lifecycle — from candidate to alumni.
  • Prioritize wellbeing and mental health as integral parts of our people strategy.

People Operations, Technology & Data

  • Together with People Ops, oversee HR systems, compliance, global mobility, and scalable people-first processes.
  • Drive innovation in HR tech (HRIS, AI-enabled tools, L&D platforms) to ensure automation, compliance, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare and present reporting on culture, engagement, retention, DEI, and succession to the board and investors.

This is you

You’re a curious, caring, and courageous leader who thrives on building and executing people strategies that truly move the business forward. You inspire trust, empower others, and hold people accountable in a way that elevates the entire team. You’ve navigated the excitement and challenges of scaling international organisations and know how to balance vision with pragmatism.

And while you love setting the strategy, you’re also pragmatic and happy to roll up your sleeves when needed – moving seamlessly between the big picture and the day-to-day.

We believe you’ll thrive in this role if you come with:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within People & Culture/HR from tech or media/entertainment
  • Proven track record of leading people strategies in high-growth, global companies.
  • Strong background in organisational development, leadership development, and change management.
  • Demonstrated success in building high-impact people programs that drive engagement and performance.
  • Deep understanding of international employment law, compensation structures, and HR best practices.
  • Experience working with executive leadership teams and boards.
  • A collaborative, future-oriented mindset – someone who thrives on innovation, challenge, and transformation.

Naturally, being passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio content, media, and entertainment is a big plus!

These are the benefits

  • Up to six months of fully paid parental leave for all new parents – no matter how you identify or where in the world you live
  • ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) for all employees, no matter where in the world they live.
  • Free online therapy sessions through We.Care.
  • Delicious lunch with great colleagues.
  • Learning and personal development opportunities to help you thrive and enrich your skills in a fast-paced creator economy.
  • Opportunity to work flexible hours and remotely.
  • The chance to make an impact at a growing international company and see your work pay off immediately.

Are you the right fit for this?
