After becoming one of the breakout narrative podcasts of 2026, Everybody Knows But Me returns for its second season on July 29th from Next Chapter Podcasts and Companion.

Since premiering earlier this year, the series has been praised by The Guardian as “an original, sometimes uncomfortable listen, with real imagination,” named one of Apple Podcasts’ Best Podcasts of 2026 (So Far), selected as Apple’s Pick of the Month for July 2026, recognized by Amazon Music as a Best Podcast of the Week, climbed to #1 in Society & Culture / Personal Journals, and reached nearly 500,000 listeners and viewers across audio and video platforms.

Created and hosted by comedian Holly Anabel Brown, Everybody Knows But Me began as an investigation into her father’s deathbed confession that he had kept secret twin sons that everybody in the family knew about but her. But during Season One, people found a community where they could share unbelievable family stories of their own.

Season Two transforms the show from one family’s mystery into a new kind of series, where comedians, actors, writers, and everyday people reveal shocking family secrets, generational trauma, long-lost relatives, and the moments that forever changed how they understood the people closest to them. During Season 2, Holly will also open the show’s inbox to listeners whose stories prove that almost everyone has experienced a chapter of life stranger than fiction.

“After telling my own story, I realized I wasn’t the weird one,” says Holly. “The response was overwhelming. People kept telling me stories they’d never shared with anyone before. Season One was my family sitcom. Season Two belongs to everyone.”

Like its debut season, Everybody Knows But Me continues to blur the line between television and documentary storytelling. Each episode opens with a scripted sequence that transports listeners into a television-inspired world before transitioning into an intimate conversation where guests unpack extraordinary family stories like DNA surprises and long-buried secrets to finding the humor in grief.
