What if you could test each money decision before you made it? Former PayPal CEO Bill Harris launches Money Lab, a new podcast putting real-life financial decisions to the test with AI-powered financial modelling.
Many financial guidance approaches start with a rule of thumb. But financial lives aren’t one-size-fits-all.
Launching September 29, Bill Harris Presents Money Lab is a new personal finance podcast that takes financial questions and puts them to the test.
Episodes use Evergreen.ai, an AI-driven financial planning app that builds a tailored financial model and runs the numbers against realistic scenarios. Instead of asking what someone should do based on a generic rule, Money Lab explores how the answer changes when the realities of an individual’s financial life are taken into account.
A Roth conversion, for example, can look very different depending on factors including state tax exposure, equity vesting schedules and retirement timing. A refinancing decision can change when a person’s broader financial picture, spanning past, present and future, is considered.
“Here at the Money Lab, we dive deep into the specifics and show you how to do the same. We sweat the numbers so you don’t have to. We build specialized AI tools and share them with our viewers for free.”
The podcast is hosted by Bill Harris, whose career has been defined by reshaping how people manage money. Harris has led PayPal and Intuit, and built Personal Capital, an investment firm that managed more than $23 billion in client assets as of March 2023. He is now the founder of Evergreen.ai, where he is working on the next evolution of financial guidance through technology that brings a person’s financial life together in one place.
Across Money Lab, questions range from navigating stock options and RSUs to stress-testing a family’s retirement timeline or exploring the real cost of a major financial decision. Because each financial life is different, episodes may look different from one another.
At its heart, Money Lab is built around a simple idea: Sound financial decisions don’t typically come from having all the answers. They often come from asking better questions.
Bill Harris Presents Money Lab launches September 29 and will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and wherever you get your podcasts, with episodes also available on YouTube.
