Ian Madigan said: “I’m really excited to be launching the Irish Rugby Pod alongside David Sharkey. Irish rugby is in a really exciting place, and we want to give listeners and fans insight from people who’ve been in the dressing room, interviews with players and coaches, and some brilliant guests. We’ll be getting stuck into everything from the Test weekends, to what’s happening in the provinces and the club game. It’s going to be a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to get going.”
Stefan Doyle, Head of Sport Social Podcast Network, said: “We’re really excited to welcome Ian and David to Sport Social, ahead of a massive 12 months in the rugby calendar, with the Nations Championship , Six Nations and World Cup in Australia all to come.
Irish podcast advertising rose by 33% in H1 2026* demonstrating the continued interest and demand from brands to reach engaged audiences.
The Irish Rugby Pod will offer fans a fresh take on the stories and talking points that matter, and advertisers the chance to be associated with every scrum, tackle and try.”
