It’s There! The voice of Irish sport lands on Sport Social Podcast Network
Iconic Irish commentator, George Hamilton, and BBC presenter, Connor Phillips, have launched a brand-new podcast reliving the best moments in Irish sport and looking ahead to the next generation of greatness.
With the help of some of the biggest names in Irish sport, the twice-weekly podcast sees George and Connor dive into untold stories, remarkable careers, and the lives behind some of Ireland’s most iconic sporting figures. And with George’s unmistakable voice, listeners will hear those historic moments brought to life once again in podcast form.
A blockbuster line-up of guests is already confirmed for the opening episodes, including Ray Houghton, Kevin Doyle, Packie Bonner, Clive Tyldesley, Kevin Kilbane, Mick McCarthy, Liverpool and Ireland legend John Aldridge and Irish Commentator Conor McNamara.
The launch comes as both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland aim to qualify for this summer’s FIFA World Cup 2026™ through the play-offs in March.
Head of Sport Social, Stefan Doyle, said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to be working with George and Connor on It’s There! George has commentated on some of the biggest occasions in Irish sport, and we’re looking forward to reliving those moments through this new podcast.”
George Hamilton said:
“Over the years, I’ve been privileged to witness some of Ireland’s greatest sporting moments first-hand. It’s There! gives us the chance to relive those moments in a fresh way, with the people who created them, and to celebrate the stories that shaped Irish sport.”
Connor Phillips said:
“I grew up listening to George describe the big moments that shaped our sporting lives. Now getting to sit across from him — and from the icons who made those moments happen — is something really special.”
It’s There! launched this week and is available to listen across all major podcast platforms.
