Prestigious Journalism Contest Includes New Judging Categories for Digital
Multimedia and Cross-Platform Presentations
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The National Headliner Awards — one of the nation’s oldest and most prominent juried competitions for a broad range of journalism — announces two new judging categories in its call for entries for the 2026 contest.
Reflecting the growth of online excellence, categories have been added for digital multimedia and cross-platform presentations.
Founded in 1934 by the Press Club of Atlantic City, the National Headliner Awards recognize outstanding achievement in print, broadcast, photography, cartooning, podcasting and digital journalism. Competition is spread over 89 categories, and best-of-show entries in digital, TV, radio, photography and print receive a $1,500 award.
Since the first National Headliner Awards, nearly 3,000 National Headliner first-place medallions have been presented. Competition is open to all material appearing online or in publications distributed or broadcast in the United States between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2025.
Information on how to enter can be found at www.headlinerawards.org. Entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Jan. 30, 2026.
