Oscar Isaac’s Mad Gene Announces The List

New York, NY – April 28, 2026 – Mad Gene, the multi-disciplinary production company from Oscar Isaac and Elvira Lind today announced The List, a new eight-episode podcast series that will offer honest, emotional, and funny stories about sexual histories while encouraging listeners to reflect on their own experiences, launching Thursday, May 7. Developed and hosted by Academy Award nominated Lind and her collaborator Kirra Cheers, The List is a collection of interviews in which guests are invited to share an exhaustive list detailing their past sexual experiences. The trailer is available now.

The List asks, “How has their relationship to sex changed? Who were the partners that impacted them the most and why? What do they celebrate about their stories, and what do they regret?” Whether you’ve had sex with two people or two hundred, sex is an experience that connects us and it’s deeply interwoven into our personal histories. The List is a storytelling podcast unlike any other, presenting honest, emotional, and entertaining real-life experiences while encouraging listeners to reflect on them.

Each episode of The List discusses a guest’s list of sexual partners, exploring how their sexuality has impacted their life story. Their sexual and romantic experiences give us a fascinating peek into our guests, personal evolution: the big loves, the heartbreaks, the affairs, and the choices that have made them into the people they are today. Unlike other sexuality podcasts, The List isn’t just about the hosts or their wildest experiences, and it isn’t an advice podcast. Instead, Lind and Cheers help guide their guests through their lists and let the guests tell their own stories on their terms. Says Lind with a wink, “It’s the best excuse to talk about other people’s sex lives!”

The List is an inclusive and diverse show for open-minded listeners. By normalizing discussion about sex, the show will help listeners realize that the things they once thought were weird, shameful, or taboo are, in fact, totally normal and perhaps not even all that uncommon.

Originally a book and theater piece, The List began in 2016 when a friend of Cheers’ gifted her a list chronicling his entire sexual history. Cheers was so inspired that she spent the next two years interviewing and photographing everyone on his list, which gave her a deeper understanding of her friend through the eyes of his former lovers. The podcast flips this concept, instead focusing on the owner of ”the list,” allowing them to reflect on and own their narrative. Says Cheers, “I’ve been working on this project in different forms for over a decade, but the podcast feels like its most honest and complete evolution. It’s a privilege to be trusted with these stories, and I feel incredibly grateful to the people who shared their most vulnerable moments with us. I can’t wait to share them.”

Guests include: a burlesque performer, someone learning to enjoy their sexuality with a physical disability, and “counter-reformed” evangelical Christian.

The series was a collaboration with Multitude and is executive produced by Elvira Lind and Kirra Cheers. Clare Slaughter is the senior producer. Theme music was done by Circular Ruin.

Episodes of The List will be launching May 7. Listeners can find new weekly episodes on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube, and wherever you listen to your podcasts. For more information follow @The.ListPodcast on Instagram.
