Sport Social Podcast Network, Europe’s largest sport podcast network, is pleased to announce it is strengthening its long-standing relationship with Spotify by joining the Spotify Partner Program. This move will allow creators across the network to unlock new revenue streams through video content, as well as audio.
The partnership means that all video creators currently on Sport Social now have the option to join the Program, while new creators joining the network can also benefit from the opportunity. Sport Social will work with Spotify to maximise revenue returns for sports podcasts, helping to drive significant growth for creators.
This development builds on Sport Social’s track record of bringing commercial opportunities to its partners, from YouTube and social media to live events and influencer campaigns. By embracing the shift toward video in podcasting, the network is enabling creators to reach new audiences and tap into fresh sources of income.
Sophie Hind, Managing Director of Sport Social Podcast Network, said:
“Video has been a high growth channel in sports podcasting for some time, and we are always developing new ways for our partners to grow their audiences and revenue. The Spotify Partner Program gives our creators a fantastic way to engage with new and emerging audiences, while opening up another revenue stream.”
Brontë Edmondson, Partner Manager at Spotify, said:
“We’re seeing incredible growth in video, with video podcast consumption in the UK up more than 95% year over year. We’re excited for Sport Social to be a part of this expanding opportunity and bring more revenue opportunities to its creators and shows.”
With video podcast consumption continuing to grow worldwide, this partnership positions Sport Social and its creators at the forefront of the industry’s next phase.
