Tickets for the International Women’s Podcast Awards are now available

Everybody Media

October 10, 2023

Tickets are now available for this year’s International Women’s Podcast Awards, and the team would love to see you there either in person or on the livestream!

The IWPAs have sold out well in advance the last two years so if you fancy coming to the event in London in particular then don’t hang about…grab yourself a ticket.

A few details for you:

When? Monday 6th November 2023

Where? In London at The Conduit but if you can’t make it in person, there’s also a global livestream.

What time? The event starts at 19:00 UK time and awards themselves are at 20:00. The livestream will be recorded and sent round to all ticket holders afterwards as we’re aware that GMT is not convenient for all timezones.

Why should I come? The IWPA celebrates the work of women and people of diverse genders from across the podcasting world, whether you’re a one-person DIY podcast operation or a team of experienced audio journalists and producers.

The event is also an opportunity to meet people and enjoy yourself. We look after those that come on their own, we’ll try and introduce you to people that you want to meet and we’ll do our best to make sure you have a great evening.

All details and links for tickets are over on our website at www.everybody-media.com/awards – look forward to seeing you there.

The IWPA Bursary Fund is also available once again this year thanks to Amazon Music and Wondery, so if you need it, just fill in the relevant quick form on the website, and you’ll be sent a code for a complimentary entry.

Sound You Can See: Podcasting’s Video Dilemma

For the first time, more podcast listeners say that they have watched a podcast in the last 30 days than have listened to one. Yet, simply popping your pod on YouTube is likely to fail. So, what are podcasters to do? Sound You Can See dives into consumer perceptions of podcasts on video — and how they continue to drive the future of this medium. The study examines differences in perceptions between video primaries and audio primaries, from preferred topics and genres to the surprising demographic that “listens” to more than half of their podcasts on YouTube. We will also look at when podcast consumers choose one over the other.
