June 4, 2024

New York, NY — In an exciting move for the streaming space, Nebula is teaming up with Spotify to bring its video content to Spotify users around the world. The partnership between the two streamers will allow Nebula’s creators to expand their reach and exposure to include the more than 615 million global users on Spotify’s growing platform.

“Creators are at the core of everything we do at Spotify, so we are eager to partner with Nebula, a creator-built and creator-operated platform, to bring this content to our users across the globe,” said Jordan Newman, Head of Content Partnerships. “Video greatly deepens our creators’ engagement, growth and retention with their fans—so we are thrilled to introduce such an innovative and diverse slate of video content to our audience.”

The first slate of Nebula creators kicking off the content partnership with Spotify includes: CinemaWinsCharles CornellHello Future MeCaptain MidnightTale FoundryGame Makers ToolKitTodd in the ShadowsAdam NeelyThe Closer LookFD Signifier, and Kat Blaque.

“Nebula is home to so many talented and thoughtful creators. It’s important for us to build partnerships that highlight the amazing work our creators are doing,” said Nebula CEO Dave Wiskus. “Spotify gives us an opportunity to expand our reach, not just in numbers but with the exact kind of audience who would most enjoy what we do.”

This collaboration comes on the heels of some big announcements this year for Nebula, including the launch of Nebula Motion Pictures, the studio arm of the media company, and its 2024 originals slate announcement.

Nebula’s content will be hosted on Spotify for Podcasters, Spotify’s all-in-one hub that provides podcast and video creators with the tools to grow communities and deepen their engagement with fans. With more than 2.5M video episodes already on Spotify, the partnership with Nebula video creators is a natural extension of Spotify’s emphasis on video podcasting.

This represents Nebula’s first partnership with Spotify and exemplifies the company’s creed of amplifying creator content and building a bridge to premium streaming for its creators.

About Nebula

Launched in 2019, Nebula is both the largest and fastest growing creator-built premium streaming service. The success of the indie platform has been built upon the pioneering premise that the future of the creator economy should belong to the creators, and that philosophy has led to the release of many hit exclusives and originals. Nebula has successfully charted its own path in the streaming space since its inception — earning a reputation for being where creators go to develop premium content that wouldn’t be possible elsewhere. Nebula recently launched Nebula Motion Pictures, the studio arm of the company, creating a studio pipeline for digital creators to bring their stories for film and television to life with prestige. Nebula has successfully broken the mold with 180+ creators who are not only instrumental in rounding out the platform’s library, but also in building the roadmap for the company’s daily operations and carefully curating its creator community. Nebula has more than tripled its direct subscriber count since 2023 and more than doubled its revenue the past year alone. In 2024, the company was listed as one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies.” Visit nebula.tv to learn more.
