About the Role

Slate is seeking an Account Director to join our sales team. This position will be responsible for driving revenue by developing and maintaining strategic advertising partnerships with agencies and brands across the East Coast region.

Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage relationships with key ad agencies and brands
    • Meet quarterly and annual revenue goals by selling Slate’s product portfolio and ad inventory (including podcasts, display, sponsorships, and custom marketing programs)
    • Manage sales process from account identification to close
    • Consult with ad agencies and brands on their advertising needs and present innovative solutions to meet their objectives
    • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing and creative services to develop, deliver, and execute custom marketing programs
    • Work closely with client services and operations teams to deliver successful campaigns and maintain the highest level of customer service to our partners

Desired Skills & Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience in digital or podcast sales roles
    • Ability to build and manage a consistent sales pipeline
    • Established relationships with leading New York–based agencies and clients
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to analyze clients’ business marketing objectives, brand or ROI goals, media buying cycles, metrics for success, etc.
    • Experience developing, delivering, and executing marketing strategies and presentations
    • Deep understanding of the digital ecosystem
    • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative attitude
    • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and across both internal and external teams
$100,000 – $140,000 a year
