How you’ll make an impact:
The Sales Research Analyst will support the SXM Media advertising sales team by providing data and analysis related to advertising sales opportunities. This is a highly technical role that requires a unique and wide-ranging set of skills. Candidate should be proficient in processing large data sets, distilling them into digestible insights and communicating findings clearly and concisely. Role will require a high level of proficiency in SQL.
What you’ll do:
- Field ad hoc requests from sales and sales support that requires data mining, data wrangling and data analysis.
- Support our sales organization by providing valuable insights from a myriad of data sources including usage logs, analytics platforms, ad delivery reports and 3rd party research.
- Produce marketing collateral to aid various teams within our ad sales organization.
- Ensure regular reports are refreshed and delivered under tight deadlines.
- Assist in conceptualization and maintenance of business intelligence tools.

- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills
- Proven Microsoft PowerPoint skills
- 1-2 years’ experience with SQL framework and query scripting (Google Cloud Platform, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Hive/Hadoop experience)
- Experience with ad serving solutions such as DFP, Atlas, etc.
- Knowledge of 3rd party syndicated research services such as comScore and Nielsen.
- Data visualization experience with Tableau.
- Thorough understanding of digital advertising.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $55,700 to $70,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
