Nashville, TN-based That Sounds Fun Network is seeking a dynamic self-starter individual passionate about podcasts to join our passionate team and take our network to new heights. As the Direct Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth across our shows, building meaningful relationships directly with up and coming brands, and creating unforgettable advertising opportunities that they’ll want to keep coming back for more.
- Strategic Sponsorship Acquisition: You’ll be the driving force behind securing paid advertising and sponsorships from leading brands directly across the That Sounds Fun Network shows.
- Budget Mastery: Maintain advertising budgets and projections on a weekly basis, providing regular updates to our Head of Advertising to ensure we stay on track.
- Pipeline Management: Take charge of the sales pipeline. Generate leads, track progress, and engage in proactive outbound prospecting to ensure a robust roster of potential sponsors.
- Marketing Collateral Support: Assist in the creation of media kits, marketing materials, ad sales contracts, and more.
- Exceeding Targets: Your mission is to meet and exceed all sales and revenue targets, driving the financial success of our network.
- Sponsor Expansion: Continually prospect and acquire new direct and local sponsors to expand the That Sounds Fun Network’s reach and influence.
- Event Sponsor Coordination: Collaborate in the management of Network-sponsored events, ensuring our sponsors receive the exposure they deserve.
- Budget Expertise: Work closely with the Head of Advertising to craft annual budgets and forecast marketing expenses accurately.
- Database Management: Maintain a meticulously organized database of secured and potential sponsors, complete with contact information and financial history.
- Team Synergy: Collaborate seamlessly with our Sales Team and Finance Team to optimize available inventory, ensuring spots are booked, fulfilled, and billed efficiently.
- Reporting: Prepare various reports, including weekly, monthly, event, and annual summaries, offering valuable insights into campaign performance and recommendations for future success.
- Client Relationships: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, consistently demonstrating professionalism and impeccable integrity.
- Innovation: Always be on the lookout for new opportunities, develop creative strategies, and negotiate effectively with sponsors and advertisers.
- Multi-Platform Proficiency: Exhibit a strong understanding of advertising across multiple platforms, with a specific focus on podcasting and Youtube.
- Customized Solutions: Consult with brands to create tailor-made marketing solutions that align with their unique objectives.
- Quota Mastery: Demonstrate the ability to consistently achieve sales quotas 60-90 days in advance, showcasing your dedication to excellence.
- Detail-Oriented: Pay meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of our sponsorships runs flawlessly.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: Be a self-starter who embodies entrepreneurial behaviors, driving the growth of our network.

- Location Requirement: Must reside in the Nashville, TN area.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive, including Google Docs and Google Sheets/Excel
