This role sits at the intersection of audience growth, content strategy, and strategic partnerships, driving the expansion and monetization of podcast content across platforms. With a deep understanding of the Lemonada Media audience and the broader podcast ecosystem, the role ensures that each project is set up for long-term success from both a creative and commercial standpoint. In this role you will own audience growth, handle external relationships + distribution, and influence content strategy and monetization. This role will help identify and evaluate new shows with strong revenue and audience potential, while shaping how those shows are positioned, launched, and scaled.
Working cross-functionally across Production, Ad Sales, and Operations, this position also leads the development of innovative growth strategies, including cross-promotions, feed swaps, and external partnerships. It manages key relationships with distribution platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube, and plays a critical role in expanding Lemonada’s reach through collaboration and strategic alignment. Ultimately, this role is responsible for driving sustainable audience growth while strengthening the network’s presence and visibility across the industry.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new podcast properties for audio monetization, sales, and distribution opportunities, aligning selections with revenue potential and audience growth goals.
- Leverage deep understanding of the Lemonada Media audience to inform positioning, marketing strategy, and partner alignment.
- Partner closely with the Vice President of Content & Development to shape and expand content verticals, ensuring market demand, brand fit, and monetization pathways are built in from inception.
- Maintain and establish relationships with talent teams to collaborate seamlessly on promotional and booking requests, managing external communications, among other public facing initiatives.
- Contribute to planning for show launch timing, rollout strategy, and news peg alignment to maximize visibility, press coverage, and audience acquisition.
- Collaborate with Production, Ad Sales, and Operations to secure strategic promos and feed swaps that advance broader network growth and revenue goals.
- Develop creative, forward-looking launch strategies, identifying innovative ways to build and sustain audience growth over time.
- Manage strategic relationships with external distribution platforms (e.g., Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube), optimizing placement, promotion and audience growth while staying attuned to shifts across the broader podcast ecosystem.
- Cultivate partnerships across the podcast landscape to execute feed swaps, cross-promotions and guest placements that expand reach, drive discovery, and strengthen network visibility.
- Manage paid media campaigns primarily across audio channels, with additional support for video, optimizing spend to drive audience growth and show discovery.
- Strong preference for individuals with experience developing and scaling both audio and video podcasts, with a strong understanding of platform-specific strategies (e.g., YouTube vs. audio-first platforms) and how to maximize reach and engagement across formats.
Required Competencies
- 5+ years of progressive experience in podcast audience development, growth strategy, or digital media distribution across audio, video, and social platforms. A proven track record of scaling organic audiences and building breakout digital franchises
- Deep fluency in platform-native growth dynamics , including YouTube, social distribution, and podcast ecosystems
- Demonstrated ability to build repeatable growth systems, not just campaign-level wins
- Experience planning and executing paid media campaigns, including creative direction and performance optimization
- Experience shepherding the transition from audio-first to video-first ecosystem
- Fluency in both podcast mechanics (cross-promotion, feed strategy, release cadence) and video platform growth (YouTube packaging, retention, algorithmic distribution)
- Experience working with or marketing high-profile talent
- Commercial acumen, with experience translating audience growth into advertising, sponsorship, and brand partnership revenue
- Strong creative and editorial judgment, with the credibility to influence content strategy and packaging decisions
- Strong analytical skills. Comfortable with platform analytics tools and translating data into action
- Clear communicator: you can present a strategy to executives and write copy that converts
- Experience within creator-led media companies, premium podcast networks (with video content), or digital-native publishers is strongly preferred
- Demonstrates Lemonada’s core values: empathy, mission-driven, and honest
- Background in podcasting, web series, or audio/video content is a strong plus

This position is full-time. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience. Desired Start Date: March 2026
Salary: $70,000-$88,000 depending on experience
