We are building a new media venture in stealth focused on an emerging technology sector and are looking for an experienced Executive Producer to help shape and produce the first season of our flagship video podcast.
The show will sit somewhere between the accessibility and conversational flow of The Diary of a CEO and the informed, well-structured business perspective of Fareed Zakaria GPS. Episodes will combine conversations, solo segments, visual explanations, graphics, and business-focused storytelling.
This is not a role for someone who simply knows how to edit video. We are looking for someone who has produced successful podcasts before, understands what makes sophisticated content hold attention, and can bring strong production judgment, strategic input, and candid recommendations throughout the process.
What You’ll Own
– Own production from recording through final master.
– Lead the initial camera, lighting, sound, and recording setup and help establish a repeatable production approach.
– Edit long-form episodes, including pacing, audio, graphics, transitions, and visual storytelling.
– Identify where visuals or production choices can improve clarity and audience retention.
– Build an efficient production workflow using modern tools, automation, and AI where useful.
– Collaborate with the Growth Lead and use audience feedback to continually improve the show.
– Bring strong creative judgment, strategic recommendations, and constructive pushback when needed.
Who We’re Looking For
We care more about the results of shows you have worked on than the number of years or episodes on your résumé. Please share work that demonstrates excellent production judgment and measurable audience success.
Engagement and Compensation
Season 1 consists of eight video-first episodes, approximately 30-40 minutes each. This is initially a contract engagement for Season 1, with the hope of continuing together in future seasons. The role can largely be remote, but New York City is preferred, particularly so the Executive Producer can be physically present for at least the initial solo recording and initial guest recording. This is an outcome-based engagement with no set weekly hours; success metrics will be discussed during the interview. Total cash contract compensation is $6,000-$8,000 for Season 1. In addition, this role receives 10% in perpetuity of Season 1-related sponsorship revenue, income generated from social-media posts, and speaking-engagement income resulting from Season 1.
To Apply
Please share your portfolio of podcasts or video shows you have helped produce. For each, briefly explain what you personally owned, what you changed or improved, the results the show achieved, and what you believe made it work.
