Motion Society: a 277-show global VIDEO podcast network on Megaphone, with 76M+ annual downloads/streams and a US-leaning creator-led catalog (Asmongold TV, Cold Ones, colinfurze, Code Bullet, Allen Pan, Baylen Levine, Dean Schneider, Cantomando, Jordan & Salish Matter, Rebecca Zamolo, Jesser Reacts, Socksfor1, and more), is looking for a Fractional Video Podcast Monetization Lead to drive a strategic and operational mission.
Nearly 100% of our catalog is video-first. Today, ~76% of our revenue comes from Spotify Premium Video earnings and ~24% from SPAN advertising. We do not run direct sales, do not have PMP deals, do not sell our video ad inventory directly, and do not approach US brands or agencies. We want to fix that (fast) ahead of the Spotify Ad Server (SAS) transition in July 2026.
THE MISSION:
– SPAN inventory optimization across the 277-show portfolio (ad slot audit, fill rate plan, hands-on implementation in Megaphone, activation of new Spotify video ad format and clickable audio companion)
– Activation of 3–5 Private Marketplace (PMP) deals with major DSPs (TTD, DV360, Magnite, Amazon, Yahoo); including video-specific deals
– Foundations for US direct sales of our video podcast inventory: rate card, one-pager, sales deck, target list of top 30–50 US brands and agencies active in video podcast / creator-led video buying
– Brief / scorecard for the future full-time VP Sales US hire
DELIVERABLES: show-by-show Excel audit + action plan, business case model, 3–5 PMP deals live in Megaphone, commercial collateral package (deck, one-pager, rate card).
WHO YOU ARE:
– 8–12 years of US podcast and/or digital video ad sales experience
– Specific experience selling VIDEO podcast inventory and/or creator-led video on Spotify, YouTube, or comparable platforms
– Hands-on Megaphone (SAS familiarity is a strong plus)
– Active network with US brands and/or media agency trading desks
– Track record selling creator-led inventory (not just narrative scripted audio)
– Comfortable owning both strategy and execution
