Podcast Discovery is looking for a Marketing Manager to support the team and help our clients’ podcasts grow and build their audiences.
What’s Podcast Discovery?
Podcast Discovery is the UK’s leading full-service podcast marketing agency combining owned, earned and paid media. It was founded by Matt Deegan and Matt Hill, who previously set up the British Podcast Awards, to solve a key problem for shows, networks and brands – finding new listeners. To date, the agency has worked with podcasts, production companies and networks including Crooked Media, Sky News, Financial Times, ITV, Amazon Music, Red Bull, Chalk & Blade and Crowd Network.
It also operates the consumer podcast listening brand Podcast Rex – which has a website, social channels and the Great British Podcasts newsletter that’s delivered to 100,000 podcast fans every week.
As a full service agency, the team supports shows with PR, social, video, paid advertising, performance marketing, events and more. We leave the making of podcasts to our clients, but provide consultancy to ensure their shows are ready to be marketed.
We’re a remote-first, small, high performance team, who are all experts in their field, with everyone meeting up in-person every two weeks. Whilst this is a remote role, we do require someone London-based as there will be significant work for clients based there and likely two days per week in a London office.
Responsibilities
Responsible for delivery of key client projects, including:
- Podcast consultations – both as presentations and written reports
- Devising marketing plans for shows across multiple verticals
- Contribute to new shows right from inception, to hardwire audience development into the editorial plan
- Devising brilliant ideas and treatments for marketing activities.
- Point of contact for key clients in meetings and follow-up calls
- Managing relationships with other PD teams on campaign
- Media buying and performance marketing
- Ongoing campaign performance analysis
- End of campaign wrap up report
Contribute to company strategy and product offering:
- Dedicate time to considering the big picture, working to provide clients with a better and more efficient service, with a particular focus on capturing more returning business
- Work with the Commercial Lead to develop and document new product offerings and improve existing ones
- Design and implement improved workflows on the client side of the business
Experience
You must have:
- Extensive experience successfully growing podcasts
- A love of podcasts in all their forms
- Excellent analytical skills
- Creative, engaging communication skills
- Process-driven desire to meet deadlines and the confidence to flag issues early
- The ability to work independently – and be able to thrive with the autonomy
