Reports to: Director of Communications

Location: Dayton, OH (on-site)

Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 annually

Are you passionate about storytelling and democracy? Are you ready to use your podcasting skills to help shape the future of democracy? The Charles F. Kettering Foundation is looking for a creative and driven Podcast Producer to join our dynamic communications team and play a key role in advancing inclusive democracy through compelling podcast content and narratives. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to spark conversation and drive change.

About the Role:

As our Podcast Producer, you’ll take the lead in crafting high-quality episodes for *The Context* podcast and be instrumental in developing other relevant podcasts we may produce. Working closely with our Senior Program Officer, Historian, and Director of Communications, you’ll be at the forefront of identifying timely and relevant topics, researching and booking diverse guests, and overseeing the entire production process—from idea to final edit.

What You’ll Do:

Content Creation: Research, develop, and produce podcast episodes that align with our mission to advance inclusive democracy.

Guest Management: Identify, vet, and coordinate with a diverse array of guests, ensuring their contributions are impactful and aligned with each episode’s goals and the overall mission of the organization.

Production Oversight: Manage all aspects of podcast production, including scheduling, recording, editing, and publishing.

Promotion: Collaborate with our communications team to amplify each episode’s reach through social media and other channels.

What You’ll Need:

Experience: A proven track record in podcast production.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Skills: Strong research, communication, and project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
