How you’ll make an impact:

The Sales Research Analytics Senior Manager and Data Engineering will support the SXM Media advertising sales team by providing data and analysis related to advertising sales opportunities.  This is a highly technical role that requires a unique and wide-ranging set of skills.  Candidate should be proficient in processing large data sets, distilling them into digestible insights and communicating findings clearly and concisely.  Role will require a high level of proficiency in SQL and Python.

Senior Manager will be responsible for building and developing enterprise-level tools and dashboards that leverage large, complex data sets to deliver key business insights and metrics.


What you’ll do:

  • Support our sales organization by providing valuable insights from a myriad of data sources including usage logs, analytics platforms, ad delivery reports and 3rd party research.
  • Produce marketing collateral to aid various teams within our ad sales organization.
  • Ensure regular reports are refreshed and delivered under tight deadlines.
  • Assist in conceptualization, maintenance and building of business intelligence tools.
  • Develop large scale initiatives that highlight the value and effectiveness of our sales offerings.


What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in analytics, math, economics, statistics or related quantitative field.
  • 6-8 years experience in an analytical role in a digital media environment. Data Engineering skills required for this role.
  • 4-5 years’ professional experience with SQL framework and query scripting (Google Cloud Platform, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Hive/Hadoop experience).
  • Experience with ad serving solutions such as DFP, Atlas, etc.
  • Proficient in Python, specializing in data structures, datetime objects, and regular expressions, and experienced with popular libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
  • Skilled in using Python within the context of Apache Airflow for workflow automation and data pipeline management.
  • Knowledge of 3rd party syndicated research services such as comScore and Nielsen.
  • Data visualization experience with Tableau.
  • Thorough understanding of digital advertising
  • Good public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proven Microsoft PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
  • Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to “internal client” and customer service principles.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Creative writing ability.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.


At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $110,000 to $140,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
