The Axis produces podcasts for clients in the aesthetic medicine, plastic surgery, and addiction & recovery spaces.

We’re looking for a skilled Social Media Clip Editor to turn our episodes into scroll-stopping short-form content across YouTube Shorts, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

This role requires empathy and thoughtfulness for sensitive topics within a largely female audience base, sharp editing skills, ability to follow direction, and consistently meet deadlines.

This is a clip-editing-only role — no full audio or video production required. You’ll work alongside our editorial team, who will identify possible clips, provide show context, brand direction, and clip priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and edit 1-3 pre-identified clips per episode across our portfolio of podcasts, each with its own tone, audience, and visual identity.
  • Draft captions for each clip with platform-appropriate hooks, accurate spelling, and on-brand voice.
  • Deliver formatted, ready-to-post assets optimized for vertical and square formats.
  • Maintain a consistent, organized delivery workflow and flag anything that needs a second set of eyes.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience with Riverside strongly preferred
  • A strong portfolio of short-form social clips pulled from long-form podcast or interview content.
  • Deep familiarity with platform-native editing for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and LinkedIn video.
  • Exceptional attention to detail: your captions are clean & brand-appropriate, your spelling is impeccable, your timestamps are right.
  • Experience with doctors, aesthetic medicine, beauty, or wellness space — you understand this audience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI-assisted editing tools (Opus Clip, Descript, etc.).
