Main Responsibilities:
You’ll be working as an editor (and after evaluation, a cohost) of Round Table and subsidiary shows, creating and publishing multiple episodes every week. You will have the opportunity to share your expertise, engage with the audience, and contribute to thoughtful and impactful discussions on topical issues
Duties Include:
- Conducting thorough research and preparation for show segments, ensuring a well-informed and engaging discussion
- Participating in on-air discussions and debates on a wide range of topics affecting China and the world
- Collaborating with the production team on show planning, segment ideas, and overall content strategy
- Conducting interviews with guests, experts, and individuals relevant to the show’s topics
- Editing episodes using Adobe Audition
- Engaging and interacting with the audience, responding to their comments, questions, and feedback
- Actively promoting the show on social media platforms, contributing to its visibility and audience engagement
- Representing Round Table in a professional manner at public events, interviews, and promotional activities
You Should Have:
- Fluent English: Must have strong spoken and written English skills.
- Media Experience: Previous work experience in media organizations.
- Knowledge of Chinese and global issues: Deep understanding of current affairs.
- Strong Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough research.
- Charismatic and Engaging Personality: Captivating and engaging on-air presence.
- Adaptability to Beijing: Willingness to relocate and work in Beijing.
- Professionalism and Ethical Standards: Uphold journalistic integrity.
- Social Media Savvy: Familiarity with social media platforms.
- Award Recognition (Preferred): Accolades in journalism or broadcasting.
