2X World Cup Champions Christen Press and Tobin Heath Announce New Digital Series “The RE-CAP Show” produced by RE—INC Highlighting the 2023 World Cup

The World Cup champions will offer raw, no-holds barred post-game analysis and their outrageous stories from the field and in the locker room, all grounded with authentic conversations about the real issues facing female athletes

LOS ANGELES – JULY 18, 2023 – For the first time in over a decade, two-time World Cup champions Christen Press and Tobin Heath will be “watching” the World Cup rather than “playing” in it. With the launch of the new digital series The RE–CAP Show, their talents will now be showcased off of the field and into the studio as they highlight the 2023 World Cup and share an honest breakdown that only these players can offer. The RE–CAP Show premieres July 20th, just in time for the highly-anticipated global sporting event. The series stems from the new media division of RE—INC, the brand they founded alongside fellow USWNT champions Meghan Klingenberg and Megan Rapinoe.

The USWNT players set the world ablaze during the 2019 World Cup as they sued the United States Soccer Federation and brought to light the huge pay gap between men’s and women’s soccer – and delivered victory at the same time. Heath and Press will leverage their new media division to infuse lived-in, raw sports commentary with insightful and intelligent conversations that will make you feel like you’ve opened your eyes to women’s sports for the first time. As the 2023 World Cup is expected to break viewership records and bring renewed attention to demands for equal pay, this series is designed to meet this unique moment in women’s sports.

“The RE–CAP Show is the antithesis of your typical sports broadcast commentary. It is an unfiltered, women-led resource that will highlight the perspectives of players who have dedicated their lives to soccer and know the game best. This is the first time we haven’t competed in 15 years, so we’re fired up to support our team from the sidelines. The RE–CAP SHOW is here to give our fans what they crave – our unfiltered opinions, what really goes on at world championships, and what the biggest moments truly feel like,” said Tobin Heath, co-founder of RE–INC and co-host of THE RE–CAP SHOW.

“We have always aimed to be a purposeful brand that creates social impact. What makes RE–INC different is that we have never been shy about our ethos and putting our quest for equality in women’s soccer, and women’s sports more broadly, front and center. The RE–CAP Show will be an extension of this mission to level the playing field for all, while amplifying the voices of women in sports,” said Christen Press, co-founder of RE–INC and co-host of The RE–CAP Show.

RE-INC is bringing on several brands as show sponsors that reflect this ethos. This includes Ally Financial, which has committed to reaching equal media spend in men’s and women’s sports advertising within five years; UKG, a leading HR, Pay, and Time provider, which is bringing the first-ever million-dollar prize pool to the national women’s soccer league and is continuing their commitments in this space; the global leader in recovery footwear OOFOS, which recently launched a limited edition RE-INC x OOFOS collaboration featuring the incredible artistry of design collaborators, Tobin Heath and Eddie Opara of Pentagram; and the luxury tequila brand Tequila Komos, an advocate of diversity and inclusion through its sustainability and hiring practices.
