AudioUK is assisting the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) with a new research project examining the size and scale of the UK’s podcasting and audio industry. The study will play an important role in helping the UK government review and shape future policy for the industry.
DCMS has appointed Frontier Economics to conduct the research, which includes gathering data from suppliers across the UK’s fast-growing podcasting and audio industry.
As part of this work, AudioUK is encouraging companies and organisations across the sector to take part in a short survey. The survey takes no more than 10 minutes to complete and responses will be confidential and aggregated by Frontier Economics, in line with their confidentiality statement.
Participants are asked to complete the survey by Tuesday 10th February.

Hannah Brankin, Policy and Regulation Lead at AudioUK said:
“This research is a vital opportunity to build a clearer picture of the UK’s podcasting and audio sector. By contributing, companies across the industry can help ensure that the scale, value and diversity of audio in the UK is properly understood, and that future policy is informed by robust, representative evidence.”
Any questions about the survey should be directed to:
AudioUKsurvey@frontier-economics.com
Input from across the industry is vital to ensuring the sector is accurately represented and that its voice is heard as future policy is developed.
END.
