New York, NY – April 24, 2025 – BBC Studios, producer and global distributor of innovative and world-class audio content from the BBC, today announced a deal with The Podcast Exchange (TPX) that will see TPX serve as the exclusive third-party advertising reseller for BBC podcasts in Canada, providing brands and agencies with seamless access to one of the most trusted and well-known podcast portfolios in the global marketplace.

As home to a broad selection of premium podcasts widely listened to by audiences in Canada, including Global News Podcast, World of Secrets, You’re Dead to Me, Football Daily, and History’s Secret Heroes, BBC Studios will partner with TPX – Canada’s premier podcast advertising network – to deliver impactful campaigns that resonate with Canadian consumers, as well as bring new opportunities to advertisers seeking engaged Canadian audiences.

Louise la Grange, SVP, BBC Audio, Digital News and Streaming at BBC Studios, said: “Canada is one of our largest markets for BBC podcasts outside the UK, and as podcast listenership continues to rapidly grow in the Canadian market, we felt it was the perfect time to partner with a company like TPX that has a strong reputation for representing premium audio content. We are excited to work with TPX to bring our world-class catalogue and BBC audience to new advertisers in Canada, and to offer greater capabilities to brands who want to incorporate BBC podcasts into campaigns across the BBC Studios portfolio.”

Pary Bell, CEO of The Podcast Exchange, added: “BBC Studios is one of the most respected media brands in the world. The fact that they chose TPX as their Canadian partner speaks to the strength of our team, our approach, and the trust we’ve built in the market. This partnership is a major addition to our premium offering and a clear win for Canadian advertisers.”

This partnership follows on a string of recent announcements by BBC Studios in the audio space, including the launch of a fully dedicated audio production unit to maximize creative opportunities in the global market and a deal with Triton Digital to leverage Triton platforms and insights tools to underpin its growth efforts outside the UK. As part of this new partnership with TPX, the BBC will now be added to the Canada Triton ranker, a monthly rank of the top-performing podcasts, publishers, and sales networks in the market.
