Dear Media is adding lifestyle podcast Pretty Basic, hosted by Alisha Marie and Remi Cruz, to its roster of shows.

The podcast, which won the 2021 Webby Award for Best Lifestyle Podcast, releases weekly episodes which alternate between one-on-one conversations with Marie and Cruz and interviews with celebrity guests, including Meghan Trainor, Dixie D’Amelio, Chris Olsen, Madison Beer and Ashley Tisdale.

“As pioneers within the YouTube to podcasting pipeline, we’ve spent the last 5 years building Pretty Basic into one of today’s top podcasts and are thrilled to be joining forces with Dear Media on this next chapter,” Marie and Cruz said. “When searching for a new home for Pretty Basic we placed emphasis on being surrounded by a powerful team of like minded individuals, to help elevate and expand Pretty Basic even further. We are so excited to officially partner with Dear Media and be a part of their existing roster of talent!”

“We are thrilled to welcome Remi, Alisha, and Pretty Basic into our Dear Media family,” said Paige Port, president of Dear Media. “From watching Pretty Basic flourish over the past five years, we truly admire Remi and Alisha’s ability to be their true, authentic selves and influence listeners through their content, a quality that synergizes with Dear Media’s shows and our overall brand identity. Remi and Alisha have a unique ability to connect with their audience on a personal level, and their dedication to inspiring, entertaining, and empowering is evident in every episode.”

Dear Media, which bills itself as a network for amplifying women’s voices, launched in 2018 and has become home to more than 80 podcasts, including The Hills star Whitney Port’s podcast With Whit, Claudia and Jackie Oshry’s The Morning Toast and The Skinny Confidential: Him & Her.

Marie, Cruz and Pretty Basic are represented by UTA, which brokered the deal with Dear Media alongside lawyers Jon Pfeiffer of Pfeiffer Law Corp and Jess Marlow of Weintraub Tobin.
