Hubbard Radio Launches Gamut Podcast Network, Establishing Third Pillar in Media Strategy

April 1, 2025

Hubbard Radio, a pioneer in American media since 1923, proudly announces the official launch of the Gamut Podcast Network, a dedicated podcast division that represents a bold and strategic expansion into the ever-evolving world of on-demand media. Gamut now stands as the third foundational pillar of Hubbard’s media strategy—alongside its legacy terrestrial radio operations and its digital marketing arm, 2060 Digital.

Many of the shows within the Gamut Podcast Network have already been established across Hubbard’s markets, but this moment marks a transformation: from podcasts as supplemental to radio, to podcasts as a focused, scalable business in their own right. The network is built to evolve with changing consumer behaviors and to help shape the future of Hubbard Radio for the next 100 years.

“The launch of Gamut is more than a rebrand; it’s a pivotal evolution for our company,” said Ginny Hubbard, CEO of Hubbard Radio. “By establishing Gamut as a core component of our business, we are embracing the future of media and ensuring Hubbard’s relevance for the next century.”

Since joining Hubbard in August of last year, John Goforth, Vice President and General Manager of Gamut Podcast Network, has been laying the groundwork for this launch—building infrastructure, assembling a team, and formalizing the strategy behind Gamut. Partnering with Goforth on the development and strategic planning of Gamut is Jeremy Sinon, VP, Podcast Operations. Together, their efforts have transformed what was once a decentralized collection of podcasting initiatives into a unified network with national reach and local depth.

“Gamut is designed to reflect both where the industry is and where it’s going,” said Goforth. “Yes, we’re building a national powerhouse—but we’re just as focused on lifting up unique voices and staying true to the communities we serve. It’s about reach and relevance. That balance is what makes Hubbard special, and it will make Gamut special too.”

“It’s exciting to see us take the next step in our podcast evolution,” said Sinon. “Over the years, we’ve had several successful podcast launches come from our markets — from SKOR North and Garage Logic to the American Nightmare Series, UAP: Unidentified Alien Podcast, and beyond. We now get to take that momentum and use it to propel us to a full-fledged national network.”

“Investing in Gamut is a strategic decision that aligns with our long-term vision,” said David Bestler, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hubbard Radio. “We are committed to allocating the resources needed to ensure Gamut’s success, and with the team we’ve built, we’re confident we’re positioned to become a major force in the space.”

At launch, Gamut will focus on several high-growth content categories including technology, music history, wellness, explainer content, sports, true crime, and even the “world of the weird.” One of Gamut’s first marquee partnerships is a multi-year deal with Professor of Rock, one of the internet’s most respected music historians, bringing his signature storytelling to podcast platforms for the first time.
